Parent's Daily Brief ("the App") is operated by Oro Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Virginia limited liability company located at 8401 Mayland Drive, Suite A, Richmond, Virginia 23294, United States.
This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@parentdailybrief.com.
Parent's Daily Brief is intended for parents and caregivers who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and children do not use it. All information in the App is entered by an adult account holder.
Free-text notes may contain health-related observations if you choose to write them. What you record is up to you.
If you log by speaking, the App records audio. If you log by photographing a written note, the App captures that image.
Audio and images are never stored on our servers. They are read on your device, sent for processing, and discarded. Only the resulting text and structured entries are kept. A temporary audio file created on your device is deleted immediately after transcription.
Analytics record that an action happened, never its content. We do not send your child's name, your notes, your care plan, the text of your briefs, or any free text you have written to our analytics provider.
We do not use advertising identifiers, and the App contains no advertising.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
We use a small number of service providers. Each processes information only to provide their service to us.
| Provider | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, server functions | Your account, your child's profile, your logs, your generated briefs. Hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-1). |
| Anthropic | Generating briefs; extracting entries from text and images | Your child's first name, age, feeding type, care plan, a summary of recent logs including the notes you wrote, your typed or transcribed text, and photographs you submit. |
| OpenAI | Transcribing voice recordings | The audio you record, for transcription only. |
| Expo | Delivering push notifications | Your device notification token and the notification text. |
| Sentry | Crash and error reporting | Technical diagnostic data about failures. |
| PostHog | Product analytics | Anonymous usage events. Hosted in the United States. |
We keep your information for as long as your account is active.
You can delete everything at any time. The App includes a delete function that permanently removes your account, your child's profile, and all associated logs and briefs. This cannot be undone.
Accounts that have been inactive for 24 months may be deleted along with their associated data.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Virginia residents have these rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. Write to us and we will honor them.
Your information is protected by database access controls that restrict every record to the account that created it. Connections are encrypted in transit. We limit access to what is necessary to operate the App.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. But we take the sensitivity of what you record seriously, and we design accordingly.
Parent's Daily Brief provides informational and educational guidance only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your pediatrician or another qualified health provider with questions about your child's health.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle your information, we will notify you in the App before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
